Miracles begin today!
Our morning started early with getting dressed in our bathing suits and heading down to breakfast. Our goal was to spend as much time in the ocean and on the beach as possible. Immediately after breakfast we headed to the beach...played in the beautiful bluish green water and searched for shells in the awesome white sand. It was a humid 90 degree day! Couldn't ask for anything better. At 1215p we headed to the beautiful house where Breanna received her stem cell treatment. The enviroment was beautiful and comfortable, not sterile like a hospital room. The treatment entailed an IV for about 45 minutes and then 5 injections of stem cells. One through her IV and two in each thigh. She received the stem cells at about 145p. Breanna said it burned, but it only lasted a few minutes. I noticed right away that Breanna's breath had changed. It was the weirdest smell, nothing I have ever smelt before. Believe me, it was not good, but if miracles come from it, I could learn to love it fast. Some of the kids that get these treatments call it "Miracle Juice Breath". Dr. Rader and all the other doctors were nothing but amazing. We hope to visit them again someday! After the treatment we hung out a bit to take pictures and to talk to Will, Hannah, Nick, Jen and Baby Nick.
When we got back to the hotel there was enough time and daylight to enjoy some more beach time and we did! The fun of searching for shells was a little back breaking, but hopefully someday Breanna will be able to do this on her own two feet.
We had dinner at the buffet again with our new friends and then back to our room to pack for an early morning departure.
What an amazing adventure! We are so thankful to Tami and Bruce for making this all happen!
